The Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Heather Humphreys TD, announced that €10 million will be made available to Local Authorities this year to support the regeneration of rural towns and villages across Ireland.

The Building Control Management System (BCMS) was developed by LGMA and Fingal County County and implemented in March 2014. It allows property owners, builders, developers, architects and engineers to submit notifications, applications and compliance certificates online. It provides an internal management system for the processing of notices received online and over the counter in local authorities.
